Engagements shoots are always extra fun, because we get to know the couple before the wedding day. It allows us time together and I believe that time and relationship makes for more personal pictures. Sunken Gardens is always a fun spot to photograph and we had a blast there with Kelly & Matt - even on a super cloudy day.
Mary & Luke's wedding was held at Mary's parents home in St. Petersburg, Florida. Tracie of Tracie Domino Events and MMD Events helped transform her family's property into a jewel toned ballroom under the stars. They had a dual Christian + Syriac Orthodox ceremony and the ceremony was both in English and Aramaic. Mary's family is of middle eastern decent - so honoring their church and culture was paramount throughout their day. The reception beautifully highlighted their middle eastern heritage.
Guests received traditional Arabic dancing scarves to dance the night away with, the duo danced to traditional circle dances together with their families, and her family even flew in a Middle Eastern DJ team and drummer to entertain guests. The dance floor was packed all night! What a great celebration!
